Okay, time for a rant..... sorry!
Well maybe not a rant but I want to find out something.....
ARE YOU READING MY BLOG POST ON BLOGLOVIN' PAGE?
UP UNTIL THIS POST, HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO LEAVE ME A COMMENT? (note: I just changed some settings and apparently if you have NOT been able to comment, you now should be able to do so!)
IF THE NEW SETTINGS STILL DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO COMMENT, PLEASE EMAIL ME TO TELL ME! henny1994@gmail.com
IF YOU HAVE 'CLAIMED YOUR BLOG' ON BLOGLOVIN' AND YOU ARE RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS THAT YOU HAVE NEW FOLLOWERS, HAVE ANY OF THEM BEEN SITES THAT YOU MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT FOLLOWING YOU! I NOW HAVE THREE PORNOGRAPHIC SITES AS FOLLOWERS - YOU CAN'T SEE THEM OF COURSE BECAUSE BLOGLOVIN' DOES NOT HAVE THAT GADGET TO SHOW FOLLOWERS APART FROM THE NUMBER OF THEM BUT I GET A MESSAGE ABOUT THE NEW FOLLOWER AND I CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT THESE PEOPLE!!
IF YOU HAVE BEEN READING ON BLOGLOVIN' PAGE AND NOW CANNOT COMMENT BUT YOU WERE ABLE TO DO SO BEFORE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
THE ADVICE FROM THE HELP DESK ABOUT THIS COMMENT ISSUE IS THAT WE HAVE TO SET OUR BLOGGER SETTINGS FOR COMMENTS AS....
EMBEDDED OR POP UP
LASTLY..... DID YOU READ BLOG POSTS ON THE NOW DEFUNCT GOOGLE READER? OR LIKE ME AND MANY OTHERS.. DID YOU JUST READ THROUGH YOUR DASHBOARD. I ASK THIS QUESTION BECAUSE I'M SERIOUSLY THINKING OF GETTING RID OF BLOGLOVIN'. I DO NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT CREEPS ARE FOLLOWING ME - YOU JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY CAN DO!! IF I GET RID OF MY OWN BLOGLOVIN' A/C, I DON'T THINK IT EFFECTS MY READERS AS IT IS THEIR OWN BLOGLOVIN' A/C THAT THEY ARE USING TO READ, NOTHING TO DO WITH MY OWN A/C. SADLY, BLOGLOVIN' PRESENTLY DO NOT HAVE A WAY TO BLOCK UNWANTED FOLLOWERS.
Okay, that's it! SORRY!
You may now resume more pleasant reading.... on whatever Reader you are using:-) and I'll be back with more quilty reading soon!!
Cheers from Helen

wow thats not good Helen.xx
ReplyDeleteI dont fully understand bloglovin, its all too confusing for me, I just read peeps blogs from my side bar on my blog, am I missing something??? Is there an easier way??
ReplyDeleteReading posts on your Dashboard is easier. Everyone seemed to be going over to Bloglovin' but like I say, I'm not that impressed.Blogger has an option for the blog owner to block a follower but Bloglovin' does not, as yet.
DeleteI used my sidebar for years and then felt like my blog was too cluttery. So I have Bloglovin now and am trying to learn to use this system. When I go to a blog and want to comment, I have to close the Bloglovin bar at the top of the page. A couple of people have complained about having to do that when reading my blog. I don't think it is THAT much of an imposition. Still not sure how I feel about Bloglovin. And don't get me started on the Word Verification two-part thing . . . .
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't sound good. I am having no problems following you, but I am still learning Bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteI am not having any problems following you or commenting on your blog...
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, sorry to hear you are having problems. I haven't had any issues with bloglovin but am still learning to use it to its maximum. I used to read blogs off my sidebar then realised I could read them off my dashboard. Now I read them off bloglovin as if it were my dashboard, rightclick on the post and it opens up and appears as normal, as it used to. I do remember ticking a box early in the piece saying that when I wanted to open a post, it wouldn't open in bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteoh dear... the think when we do online activities is that they are open to anyone...
ReplyDeleteI dont use bloglovin so can't really comment...
Hugz
I am just about ready to quit hemoglobin because, I follow 200 and they post them ,the same blog post over and over so I wade thru 600
ReplyDeletenot good that you're having so much trouble with Bloglovin Helen!! I love it and haven't had a problem at all....have been able to read and comment without any issues....looks like you drew the short straw!?! Not good!!!!
ReplyDeletexox sugary hugs
I have no problem with bloglovin. It is possible for anyone to add a blog URL to their reading list in blogger dashboard and follow. I think I follow lots of blogs that way. Now if I want to follow a blog I just put the URL into bloglovin and click follow. I don't think a blog has to be claimed to be followed with bloglovin and because my blog is public anyone can follow it without me knowing. At least bloglovin notifies me. Blogger dashboard doesn't . I don't think any system is perfect and there always seem to be some annoying users or annoying glitches. I hope you get it sorted out soon.
ReplyDeleteNew Followers in Blogger showed up in my sidebar and then I could look up my list of Followers and if the new person was suspect, I could block that follower. Bloglovin' does not offer that as yet but they are working on it. I received new Followers in Blogger that I found undesirable (very weird sites belonging to men) and I just blocked them. It's all early days I guess.
