I have made a matching pin cushion to go along with the needle case plus I will be adding a few Aussie items in the parcel.

Thank you Joke Wijngaarden from The Netherlands!!!!! I absolutely LOVE my needle case and all of the wonderful presents! Joke had included a lovely tea towel, a 2011 calendar and a delightful picture postcard of little girls in traditional dress. It was so exciting opening the parcel!! Joke writes in her letter that she lives in a very old historical building which dates back to 1692 and she is a nurse and every three weeks she goes to her quilting group. Since receiving the parcel, we have emailed each other a number of times and I know that we will keep in contact. Making new friends like this is one of the things I love about swaps. I have found it the same with the Siggy Swap I am in.
This needle case swap is a little different in that you don't swap directly with each other. Joke will receive a parcel from another person and I will send my parcel to the partner I have been given.... I can say that she lives in the USA! Very soon my parcel will be making its way over to her!
This weekend I am busy in the sewing room getting things ready for the Ekka Day at my Mum's Nursing Home. I have the polar fleece items all ready, now I am making a few bags -- using the same pattern that I used to make the bag which is in my Header on my blog! It's the Pick-a-pocket pattern which can be downloaded from ALLPEOPLEQUILT.COM. I originally found the pattern in Quilts and More Fall edition, 2008. This bag is so easy to make, and does not use up too much fabric. This is the first one - I made this last night when my men were at the footy!
