I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 24. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, three Essex and one Singer 20 and a Vulcan Countess. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

Hello B.B.!! you can just see the top of her beautiful head! Bridgee loved the quilt and it was instantly placed in "her room" at her Nannies. We found that the sashing made a great road for her little cars and people and she counted the fishies (well, 10 of them at least!). MH and I had the most enjoyable visit with Bridget and her Nannie and Poppy (my sister and BIL) - thanks Nannie, we'll come again!!

I have had just the most lovely week, that's all I can say... the lunch and shop hop with by best friend and now a beautiful visit with our little darling B.B. - what more could a girl want?

Tomorrow I have a home day, so the sewing machine will get a workout too.

Siggy report... four more arrived this week.... check out the side bar gadget... thanks everyone!

Happy Sewing!
