I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

PATCHWORK SHOPS + LUNCH + GOOD FRIENDS = HAPPINESS

I've just had the most lovely day out with my best friend - yummy lunch, fun patchwork shops and just a great day of talk with a bit more talk thrown in and of course, coffee!!

We visited a fantastic patchwork shop called Bayside Stitch Craft. I purchased a new quilt hanger for my Siggy Wallhanging, and of course..... some fabric and what I really needed-----a replacement bulb for my sewing machine! The staff were so friendly and helpful! I know I will be going back there again!!

Tonight I'm back onto quilting the Farm Quilt and tomorrow, at long last, MH and I are going to visit with B.B. and give her the Beach Quilt!!!

Happy Sewing!
