This week has just flown by....... so much for having the Xmas Quilt all done and dusted! As you can see, it is sitting quite close to the sewing machine and I have done the ditch quilting (I used one of my new threads purchased at the recent Craft Show- WonderFil Invisafil- I am very pleased with it - I used it in the bobbin and used my usual cotton thread in the needle). This weekend should see the rest of the quilting finished..... I think I'll just freemotion around the outside border with a vine and then sew ornament buttons onto it. As I promised, for the back of the quilt I have used up just about every Christmas fabric I had in the drawer! Some of these fabrics aren't even in the applique front, but I just wanted it all gone........ so I can buy some of the gorgeous new Christmas fabric that's around---- naturally!
Another cute Siggy Block in the mail this week..... this one is from The Netherlands, thank you Puck Booij, your little cat block is very pretty!
Next posting will have pictures of a FINISHED, READY TO HANG CHRISTMAS WALLHANGING!! WATCH THIS SPACE:-)
Happy Sewing!
What a happy colorful quilt. Can't wait to see it finished. I have a hard time machine quilting small projects. I can't imagine trying a quilt.

ReplyDeleteHelen, I just looked through your gallery of quilts at the top of your blog. What a lot of wonderful quilts. Your redwork is amazing and I love the vibrant colors you used on all the bags.
