Just finishing off the binding on Maisy's Farm Quilt. You may remember these blocks HERE. It has taken me ages to get back on to this quilt but now I'm kind of rushing as Maisy is arriving in Brisbane this coming Saturday for a family party and I would like to hand deliver the quilt instead of mailing it. I love making the Farmyard Friends quilt, so much so that I'm just about to prep another one! You can see other versions I have made of this quilt HERE. The pattern is by Ella and Skysie.
Other sewing lately has been very different to quilting….. I've been taking up hems on my niece's jeans! thankfully my Brother PQ1500 machine sews through them like butter! It's all fun!
I've just had a few days staying with my sister up on Bribie Island… mmmmmm, lovely! Nice long walks on the beach, easy meals and great tv shows that my sister recorded just for me! gotta love Murder She Wrote :-))
Update on my log cabin blocks…. I'm up to the sashing but I put this quilt up on the wall to wait until I've finished the farm quilt.
So that's a quick catch up from me,
Happy Sewing!! I'll be back with photos of the finished farm quilt before Saturday (I hope!)…
Helen
The islanfd looks like a beautiful place to relax, walk and watch movies! I am sure Maisie will love the quilt - amazing how we can get motivated to do something when a deadline is looming!
ReplyDeleteHi Helen hope you and hubby are well,i have never been to that island ,it sure does sound wonderful, take care.xx
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a lovely getaway at your sisters. The sewing doesn't sound nearly as much fun - just a necessity.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have been having too much fun!
ReplyDeleteThe farm quilt is great and so is the opportunity for the getaway at your sister's.
