I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

ANOTHER FRIDAY NIGHT WITH FRIENDS

Although I was feeling yuck, I did a little sewing last night with Friday Night with Friends (I didn't link up as I wasn't sure if I would be sewing or not).

and as I am not too savvy with how to make video's, here is the second part where I thought I could pause the first one and then keep recording!   Of course, if I really did know what I was doing, I'm sure I could have put this second video onto the end of the first video!  I'll give that a go another time.

To see  all of the other FNWF sewing, check out Cheryll's blog HERE.

It's a very wet and dreary weekend here in Brisbane and if I didn't feel so rotten, I would be sewing up a storm!

Happy Sewing!!

  2. I'm sorry you are feeling punky, but at least it's on a miserable day! I'm completely clueless about the video thing. I did upload one once to YouTube, and felt like I'd accomplished a lot!

  5. Hi Helen, just wanted to let you know I have had some spare time to look at your blog properly today. And I think it's wonderful. I also had a look thru your picasa photos. And I sat with a smile on my face all the way through them. I love your work - and, it seems to me we have very similar tastes. It's a joy for me to have found a blog and blogger who seems to be on a simlar wave length to myself. Thanks for sharing your work, Joy
