I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, two Essex and one Singer 20. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

ONLY TWO BLOCKS TO GO!!

until I'm caught up that is!!!  We still have the rest of the year until we are finished completely!!!

BLOCK # 21   UNDERGROUND RAILROAD

I'm just choosing my fabrics for Block # 22  Blockade and then all I have to do is the current block from the weekend.... #23 Illinois Roads.   Phew! glad to get these out of the way!!

I've added a "Page" at the top just for my Civil War blocks and will try to keep it up to date.

Happy Sewing!!

  1. Hi! only two more blocks to go - that's GREAT! Must feel good to get caught up. So far I've only done two of the civil war blocks, but there are so many I'd like to make.

Hope your sewing clean up day goes well...
