I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 24. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, three Essex and one Singer 20 and a Vulcan Countess. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

Yes, I know..... I've been quiet!!

I have been sewing - christmas items!!
I've been getting my Christmas Cards posted - yes, I'm so organized!!

I received a lovely Siggy block in the mail this week - will put up a pic of it soon.  I didn't have any of my blocks left so today I made a few to have on hand.

I have also been making more Ballerina Bags but they are presents, so I can't show you pictures --basically, they all look the same:-)
I'm getting better at making them too - figured out how to gather the tulle on my overlocker (serger).

So my friends, you can cancel the search party!  I am here,
and I'll be back very soon.

Happy Sewing!!

I havent even thought about Christmas cards. I didnt do any last year and it relieved a lot of stress!

  3. you have been busy...glad to hear from you again

  4. Nice to see you about agin. You are so good being organised.

  5. We are all busy this time of year. See you soon.

  6. I too have been making ballerina bags, I call them tutu bags, and I have been making them till they are coming out my ears. glad to be finished. drop by and see the difference

  7. Wow, what a great Christmas card. Thanks. My husband was really impressed - such a novel card from a blogging buddy.

  8. "YOU ARE ALIVE"!!!

Cant wait to see all the things you are creating.

  9. You are far more organized than I am for Christmas. My excuse is that I have been ill, but even though I feel better, I just can't seem to get my act together. Well, maybe you will inspire me. I will get my cards out very soon, and you are on my list.
I am glad that you are enjoying receiving siggies. I collected all that i need for a quilt, so I just need to figure out how I want to put it together.
    Enjoy all the Christmas preparation!

  10. It's nice to have the time to spend on sewing. The computer sometimes has to take a back seat in our busy worlds.
