I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 24. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, three Essex and one Singer 20 and a Vulcan Countess. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

Good grief!! SLOW internet really is S.L.O.W.! ! ! !
therefore no posts from me lately...

I have been sewing - another Peter Rabbit quilt for our Beautiful Bridget (I know... I surely can't have any fabric left in that range but yes, there really was MORE!! this one is in flannel, just a row by row but cute and cuddly! Putting the binding on tomorrow!

My own version of Flea Market Boxes is coming along nicely, most of the blocks are now put together.... will have to count them and see how many I have - I think I need 49

I have received some lovely Siggy blocks lately too!

My sewing machine (the one I had the tension dramas with) now has more problems than it started with so I'll be taking it to SOMEONE ELSE to fix it, properly this time!! The initial serviceman has had two attempts to fix the tension and when I collected it last week, it had lost its needle down and auto cut functions!! They were there when I dropped it off to him!

So, no pictures with this post, unless you all want to sit and wait for them to load!!!

My FAST internet returns in two days...... yippeeeeeee!

Talk to you then!

Happy Sewing!

  1. You gotta just love modern technology! Great to see that you still got some sewing done.

  2. We'll be glad to see you when you get back.

  3. I normally love technology, except when things like this happen.
