I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 61, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

BRIGHT AND SHINY!

All goes well with the Brights baby quilt.... these are some of the blocks I have completed. I'm using my Wonder Cut ruler and I do think it makes the HST's much easier. These HST's are
2 1/2" and still require a little trimming but still it's much easier to make them this way than it would be using other methods.

I received two siggies before I went to the Gold Coast, thanks Marcel and Judy. If you click on their names in the side bar, you will see the Siggy!

  1. Looking good. What's the finished size going to be?

  2. Hi Sue! It's supposed to be 30 (6") star blocks plus borders 41" X 47", I guess I'll see how I go with the stars (they are kind of fiddly) - might make it a little smaller! Maybe 25 star blocks and borders.

    Catch up with you soon!

  3. Your colorful stars really show up on the black and white, what a creative idea.
