I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, two Essex and one Singer 20. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

SWIM LITTLE FISHIE

Here is the Beach Quilt, fringing and final borders on!! I'm very happy with the fringing, the quality is superb and I'm so happy with how it looks on the quilt. I wanted a "beach towel" effect and I think I've achieved that!

Now, on to the pinning and quilting!!

Happy Sewing!

  1. Well done, especially in this heat. Looks great but then I expect nothing less from you. Will we see it on Friday or will it be gone?

  6. Ladies I've just seen this quilt in real life & it's gorgeous. As usual Helen's done a great job. The colours & the whole beach towel theme is great. The fringing works especially well bringing the whole "look" together.
