I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

TEDDY CAN SEE!!! AND IT'S RAINING!!!!!!

Yes, found time today to stitch the details on poor old Ted and went shopping for the ric-rac for the Gingerbread Man and have just finished stitching it on. He's a very happy Gingerbread Man!!!

Tomorrow I hope to get to work on the Poppy quilt plus I can now pin the Wonder-Cut ruler Star quilt as I found a great piece of backing fabric in my stash. Of course, I should piece the top of the Christmas Wall-hanging as well but the Poppy quilt must take priority at present as I really want to have it all finished well before November 11th.

I should get lots of sewing done tomorrow as it is RAINING, yes you read right... RAINING ... in Queensland!! Our Dams have received quite a lot of rain today and we are now getting quite steady rain here - rain on the roof.... what a beautiful sound!!

Happy Sewing!
