Yesterday, my husband and I took a drive up to Fernvale to the markets - he bought a new log splitter handle (as you do) and I bought a plate!.. of course! If you are in Brisbane and have time, a trip on a Sunday morning to these markets is well worthwhile, they have just about everything you could ever want! It's a great place for plants.
I was very excited to get the new plate, as I was almost 100% certain that it matched a platter I already owned...... and it did!!
The first picture is the new plate and underneath is the one I already owned.
On a quilting note, I've got my shopping list ready for the craft show on Wednesday, can't wait!
Happy Sewing!
Your plate is lovely. Do you use them or just display them? I got some beautiful plates from my mother in laws home. I try to use them on holidays.
ReplyDeleteGreat buy. You're a bit like a bus aren't you? No posts for ages then 2 come along at once!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteYes, I use a lot of them - but also have a few up high on the china rail for show. Now and then those ones come down for a lunch or dinner. I keep collecting more, but one day I will have to stop! I also collect old Linens - fancy work we call it - I love old embroidered tablecloths, tray mats, table runners, duchess sets etc etc.
