I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 61, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

ANOTHER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

We were married on Customs Wharf and then took our wedding guests
on a cruise on the Brisbane River.  Xmas Decorations in every photo! as
the boat is hired out for lots of functions.  It was a lovely day.
I bought my outfit only three weeks prior to the wedding day.... I can still see
the look on the lady's face when I said I needed the different size top as soon as possible.
I told her the wedding date and she nearly fell over!

Quite possibly the BEST wedding cake ever made!  Thanks to my sister and sister-in-law.
The caterer said it was the best cake she had ever cut in all her time in the business.
It was a fruit cake (tradition here) and beautifully iced and decorated (not an easy task
in December here!)

Look at those little cuties..... all grown now and still comment on those
peach dresses and shirts :-)  made by my Mum!!!

with Dad and Mum
Mum was very "with it" wearing a pantsuit!!
and Dad of course in his Safari Suit :-)

31 wonderful years today!!

and what did we do to celebrate????

went to McDonalds for a coffee !!!

and loving it :-)
