I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, two Essex and one Singer 20. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

HOW MANY QUILTS?

My friend Suz over at PatchworknPlay (click to see all those quilts)  posted about how many quilts she has made and that got me thinking..... how many HAVE I made???

I know I don't have photos of every single one but last night I sat and delved through all of the photos on my computer and came up with this.......

This is a collection of mainly large quilts with a few pram and smaller quilts thrown in.  I have many other "quilts" I have made but more like wall hangings and then of course there are all the bags and gifts I have made over the years !

One day I will compile an Album in my Photos of absolutely every photo I have of anything I have made..... but that could take me a while!

As I find other photos to add to my "How Many Quilts" album I'll update it!!

Lovely overcast day, slightly warm actually.  I have some sewing to get on to.......

Happy Sewing,
Cheers from Helen

  4. Just think how many people you've given joy to with you work. They are beautiful and it's lovely to see so many of them together.
