I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

WHAT A CUTE IDEA!

Hello there!

I have been busy making a few small items for Christmas gifts.......    READING PILLOWS !   from the book "Growing Up Modern"  by Allison Harris of Cluck Cluck Sew.    The pillows finish at 14" square and use a cushion insert so a nice quick finish!   and before my Niece's groan... no these are not for our girls and boys :-)   although one could be in their future ! :-)







Now I'm busy sewing pillowcases !

I am also sewing along with Bonnie Hunter's "Celtic Solstice" mystery but I haven't even finished the first clue and now we are up to clue # 4, but it's not a race and I will enjoy some serious sewing time in the next few days.

    The reading pillow is a great idea.Your pillow cases are really cute.
    I am doing Bonnie's quilt too. Have some blocks done of the first three parts. Need to work on a few of part 4. After the holidays I hope to get some serious sewing done. Wishing you a lovely holiday.

    Really cute pillows and cases. The BH QAL is kicking my backside. I am limping along at it. I won't be joining Michele's this time-just too many projects going and the 3 1/2 in squares in BH's is more than I can keep up with:) Hope you had a lovely Christmas-we have been in the 80's here in southern California.
