I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

BLOGLOVIN

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I've decided to join just about everyone else and claim my Blog on Bloglovin.  This is all a learning curve but I guess you just click on the Follow button in my sidebar.  I do like the format the reader opens up in and the pictures are really large.  We'll just have to see how this all comes together!  So, if I am following YOUR blog, I'm now doing it through Bloglovin.

Cheers!
Helen

  1. Hi Helen, what a lovely idea to use the aussie fabrics! I might do that too one day as I have many relatives overseas and one always wonders what to make for them. Hope you are keeping well! Love,Minette

  6. Helen can I pick your brains? I notice you have watermarks on your pictures. I want to put watermarks on my pics. But I'm finding it confusing to find out about. What programme/app do you use? Any hints and tips would be welcome. Thanks, Joy

  8. Neat to see your log cabin pile growing - yo will have a very Australian quilt!!! I've been wondering about bloglovin too, as I was in the same situation as you - read through dashboard etc...but I didn't realise that if I didn't belong to bloglovin it might make it more tricky for others to read my blog...? Did it hurt to change?!
