I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

NOT EXACTLY OSCAR WINNING.......

I had a play around last night with iMovie on my Mac.  The previous video I did was through Photo Booth but I have discovered that this program has a few problems in that the first video works fine, voice and video synced perfectly but after that, the video and voice is way out of sync.  So I did a few tests in iMovie and it does seem to work but it loads much more slowly than the video from Photobooth.   Those of my followers who also catch up with me on Facebook have already seen this video, but here it is for everyone else!

The Teddy Quilt is finally quilted.  I had done the 'stitch in the ditch' in all of the sashings and borders but then decided to do an allover loopy design in each block.  Got that finished last night and you would be viewing a video of me doing that if it wasn't for the glitch in Photo Booth!

Now working on the binding!  Little Maisy celebrates her 1st Birthday on Monday, so perhaps this quilt will be in the mail sometime this coming week!!  I know, I said that ages ago.......

No other sewing news to report on.  Our weather has finally cooled down a tad so hopefully I will get into some of my other sewing projects this week.

Happy Sewing!!

This week will feel kind of strange, with no more visits to the Oncology ward for Fred - no more Chemo!!!   He is feeling still a little unwell from the last batch but as the weeks progress, his health will improve.

Son Matt has returned to college and doing okay
so far:-)
