I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, two Essex and one Singer 20. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

These two are on their way across the pond...
Thankfully some cooler weather has come in (last week was a killer!) so I'm trying to get ALL of my Christmas sewing done at once....  you know that never works!!  I have three things to get finished plus the Teddy quilt......  please don't remind me how many days till Xmas!!!

HAPPY SEWING!!
Cheers from Helen

Fred is doing okay.  The chemo is really knocking him around this time, so we are pretty much hanging close to home.

  5. The bears are so cute Helen, as are your Aussie ornaments - I made one from that pattern last year and loved it. I hope that Fred starts to feel better in time for a bit of Christmas festivity. Best wishes to you all. Happy sewing!!
