I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, two Essex and one Singer 20. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

IT'S OLD TIME COUNTRY MUSIC..........

playing in the background, lights dimmed and a lovely rain shower passing over our mountain after another hot and steamy day   .....  just a beautiful evening.

I promised photos of my Christmas decorating.  I've posted pictures of just about everything I have ever made for Christmas in previous Christmas posts but I do have one new item I'd like to share...

Christmas Flower Garland
made by my sister
It makes a great card hanger!

My sister makes beautiful flower garlands - I have a lovely one hanging in my sewing room.  I had given her lots of my Christmas fabric scraps and she made up a few garlands in Christmas fabric.  We sold them at my Craft Group Xmas Stall some weeks ago and this one was leftover.  I think it makes a lovely Card hanger!

The front entry of our home
The little palm tree has a twinkling necklace but it
doesn't show up in the photo.
Note the "half" tree... our lounge room
is full of chairs at present, so I only
put up the front half of the tree!

Looking from our lounge room out through
the front entry.

Thanks for visiting!  See you tomorrow,

Cheers from Helen
