I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

PINNING! and SOME MORE SIGGY BLOCKS!

Hello!

I have just finished pinning the "Lullaby in the Night Sky" quilt.  This one has been ready for ages and I've just heard that baby Maisy is coming for a visit to Brisbane so now I'm all fired up to get it quilted and bound and DONE!   I forgot to take a pic, but here is the beginnings of this quilt.....

Siggy Blocks!....    I found four blocks that I had failed to photograph and upload to my Siggy Album, my apologies to Annelies, Vicky, Els and Leontien.  The siggy blocks are now uploaded to my Siggy Album (the link is in the side bar).  My box of siggies is quite overflowing so it is time for me to make another wall hanging!

On the homefront, all is well.  It has been Fred's "off chemo" week.  Back on it on Monday.  Some really exciting news to tell too!!!............. our son Matt has a job!  As I had mentioned earlier, he had the "all clear" from the Hospital so he had put his name down in a few places.   It's early days as he only started at the end of last week but so far his is enjoying it all.  He wears a suit every day and looks very smart!

It is freezing here today, so I'm off to set the fire and make a start on some dinner! and then get on to that quilting!

Happy Sewing!!

Helen
