Another finish!! This bag did not come out as well as it should have. Sadly, I used the incorrect stiff interfacing and the outside of the bag has a decidedly crinkly look! If you use iron-on stiff interfacing for a bag, you SHOULD NOT quilt it!! Oh well, I'll know in future:-)
I put one pocket on the inside. I think this bag will be useful for taking to classes - it will hold a small cutting mat, ruler and all the tools! It has nice wide handles, making it comfortable to carry and it basically stands up on its own!
Happy Sewing!!
Impressive as usual.
ReplyDeleteMy total sewing today adds up to repair of: 1 pair trousers for daughters camp, 1 pair jeans for number 1 child (bought them home & asked pretty please with a very pitiful look) & 1 pair shorts for number 2 child (really don't need to see that much bum on a 20 year old). :)
Oooh I think I have these fabrics in a layer cake - they look lovely 'out', I better start planning something, which obviously won't be as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteFabulous bag Helen.
ReplyDeleteYour bag looks beautiful, Helen. I don't like that stiff interfacing, quilted or not, so I don't use it even when it's called for and my bags come out just fine without it. ~karen

thanks in advance for the Admin :)
I am not very confident at making bags. Once when I made one and turned it right side out my handles disappeared into the bag never to be seen again.
ReplyDeleteYours looks lovely. I like the colours in it a lot!
Very cute! Now I'm sad that I didn't make the bags with her!!!
