I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, two Essex and one Singer 20. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

and then I found MORE fabric!

this one turned out a bit "puffy" as I used a thicker interfacing (just didn't look at what I was doing!!)

A lovely Siggy arrived in the mail yesterday..  I've added it to my sidebar..  thanks Linda in Texas!

Happy Sewing!!

  1. I hide fabric from Mr. P all the time. God knows what I'd find if I dug deep enough ...

I'm starting to believe I could make a bag you know. Spurred on by all these bag posts you keep doing.

  2. You are doing a wonderful job donating these bags. They are all so pretty too.

  3. I loved seeing your bag...it is just lovely!
