I needed something to hand-stitch (apart from my Siggy Blocks) and I came upon a stash of tea towels in my sewing stuff which I had obviously purchased to do some Applique - so I found a couple of designs I liked - cow and pig - and using the "must use up scraps first" method, I ironed on these two and today I finished the cow (MH and I went out for coffee!). I used three strands of embroidery thread instead of the usual two and I am very happy with the effect - it really suits the tea towel. Now on to the pig.....
Oh yes, and today I have put the borders on the Farm Quilt so it won't be long and it will be finished! Photos soon!
SIGGIES..... I have added a gadget to the sidebar of my blog where you can see the latest siggy blocks I have received - click on the name and you will be taken to the Picasa album!
Happy Sewing!
So cute and your stitches are so even.
ReplyDeleteHi Helen,
ReplyDeleteI got your lovely siggy in the mail yesterday. Thank you so much! I love the embroidery and the card with the baby kangaroo peeking out of its mommy. 8) I posted a picture of your siggy on my blog at:

You should be getting my siggy in about a week or so; I didn't get it in the mail until this weekend.
Thanks so much!
Susan
That's a great way to brighten up a tea towel. I saw your siggy on Susan's blog and loved it, especially the koala in the middle!
ReplyDeleteI've come to the conclusion that you don't sleep. It's the only possible way that you can get everything that you do done.
