I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 24. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, three Essex and one Singer 20 and a Vulcan Countess. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

Look what the mailman brought this past week!!!! I love the Siggy Swap so much -- THANK YOU to Vicky and Laura from the U.S.A and Sylvia from Germany and Ludwina from Belguim.

If you are wondering what this Siggy Swap is all about, go to here.

Now I'm off to the sewing machine to make up some more of my siggy blocks so I will have some hand sewing to do when the girls visit tomorrow!

Happy Sewing!

  1. You are getting a nice little collection of siggies
    It is such fun

  2. I have enjoyed being in the siggy group, and you are getting such wonderful ones.

  3. Great to see all your siggies laid out today. You should take a photo & post it before you put them away as they do look quite impressive en masse.

  4. I really love to pop over and look at all of the different siggies you have received. I haven't done anything like that since Y2K swaps (which are still in a box in my closet). They are going to make a fun quilt.

  5. Wow, these are really fun! What a cool swap!
