I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 62, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew who is 23. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I've recently started collecting Miniature Sewing Machines, two Essex and one Singer 20. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

BLUE ON BLUE

Thank You to Peg and Marij for my lovely new Siggies.... that makes 10 Siggy Blocks in my collection:-) I will be able to make that Wallhanging very soon!

I've been busy today washing and pressing all that fabric I purchased at the Craft Show and during the recent girls weekend - I'm cutting out another Flea Market Boxes to make for myself and I also might cut out the Popsicle Posies blocks. I'm taking my sewing machine to the Gold Coast, so maybe I can work on these two quilts after the morning swim and coffee!! Of course, there will also be an afternoon nap in there somewhere!!! A girl's on holidays after all:-)

Back to the cutting mat!

Happy Sewing!
