I love to sew, mainly quilts and bags. I am 66, married to Fred and have one son, Matthew, who is 27. I enjoy embroidery and applique and prefer to machine piece and quilt my projects. I love my vintage Singer sewing machines especially my Featherweight 222K. I’m enjoying treadling on my 201K Singer and I collect Miniature Sewing Machines and currently have three Essex , one Singer 20, one Singer 40, two Vulcan Miniatures and my latest, a Grain. My love of sewing I believe comes from my Grandmother - I still have the drawings she made for me to embroider on tea towels many many years ago!

JUST CALL ME DOLLY!

..... as in "Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick"  etc etc etc!

Thanks for the emails looking for me... I know I've been AWOL but yes, I've been sick.  It started with a stupid cough way back at the beginning of August and it just went on and on.  Now, of course, it has turned into Bronchitis, so I'm all tucked up in bed taking zillions of pills and generally resting (well, in between blog surfing and buying online pdf patterns!!)

Last week I did manage to get the quilting done of my Royal Critters Quilt but sorry, no pics as yet.  I did an allover twirly loopy swirl and it has turned out quite well.  I just need to get the binding on and it's all done!  One of my Niece's has just announced that she is expecting her first baby in February, so perhaps this little quilt will find it's way to the new little baby's nursery!

I'm starting to get the itch to stitch..... so I MUST be getting better:-))

Happy Sewing!!
